In August of 1999, 5 of us decided to go camping at a family place that I had gone to since I was a little girl. The entire summer there had been a horrible drought, and so, of course we had to pick the one weekend that it rained nonstop. We weren't allowed to have campfires until the day we left. Despite the trouble, and being soaking wet, and the joy of sleeping in puddles, and having a not-so-waterproof tent... we had fun.

Jenn in the car on the way there.

Erin in the car.

Kate driving.

We arrive!!

Jenn starts up the videoing.

Erin tells the cameras what
we did today.

Erin does a jig, showing everybody
her bum... again.

Our waterproof-to-an-extent tent.

We make a trip to the beach and
Kate decides to take up life
guarding.

The Atlantic Ocean!

The random door in the middle of
the dock.

The first night, back in the tent.

Kate and Erin enchant us with a
little rendition of "Kumbaya."

Next day, Tiffy joins us!

The last day, Jenn is a little upset
because she slept in a puddle the
night before... and all her stuff
is soaking wet.

The little man who was going around
telling everybody they could now
have campfires (irony at its best).

It rained a bit on the ride home...

Jenn waking up on the way home.
Actually, everybody in the back seat
was asleep until I took out my
camera... then they all woke up (I
think it's some sort of sixth sense).
